01 DAY ARRIVE DELHI

Arrival in India (New Delhi), traditional welcome by our representative at airport, transfer assistance to hotel. Check-in at hotel, before you proceed to your room/s, our representative will hand-over the travel documents and brief you about the tour programme. Overnight stay at hotel.

02 DAY In Delhi

Breakfast at hotel, this morning explore India’s capital city by touring its magnificent monuments, start your tour by visiting - Old Delhi: An ancient walled city earlier known as Shahjahanabad. Take a photo stop at Red Fort: the most opulent Red sandstone fort and palace of the Moghul Empire (1639-1648 built by Shah Jahan the 5th Mughal Emperor of India and the builder of the Taj Mahal in Agra), visit Jama Masjid, Largest mosque in India, the foundation of the historic Jama Masjid was laid on a hillock in Shahjahanabad by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1650 AD, this mosque was the result of the efforts of over 6,000 workers, over a period of six years (1650-1656 AD). The cost of the construction in those times was 1 million rupees. This Mosque has three great gates, four towers and two 40 m-high minarets constructed of strips of red sandstone and white marble. About 20,000 people can pray here at a time. The mosque has a vast paved rectangular courtyard, which is nearly 75 m by 66 m. The whole of the western chamber is a big hall standing on 260 pillars.

Visit Chandni Chowk, the bustling and colorful market of the old city, designed by Emperor Shah Jahan’s daughter Jahanara Begum. Jahanara laid the foundation of Chandni Chowk, which is the largest trading center of Delhi as well as India. At present the street is a busy thoroughfare and is really congested. This area is renowned for 'Kuchas and Katras' also known as Alleys. These alleys house traditional Havelis, places of worship: Temples, Mosques, Church and Gurudwara, popular specialised markets and century-old eating joints. Enjoy a cycle-rickshaw ride.

Visit the Raj Ghat, the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi - Father of Nation.

Later visit New Delhi designed and built by the British in the 1920's it's a city of wide boulevards impressive Government buildings, green parks and gardens. First drive past Connaught Place, the heart and main shopping district of the capital, then drive to Rajpath (King’s Way), India Gate - the 42mt high stone ‘Arch of Triumph’, erected in the memory of Indian soldiers who died in First World War. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (President Palace) and Parliament House.

Sightseeing will also include drive past the elegant Lodhi Garden and Safdarjung's tomb.

Visit the exquisite Humayun’s Tomb, built in 1570 is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent, the structure was built inspired by Persian Architecture, it’s architect was Mirak Mirza Ghiyath. This memorial of Emperor Humayun, second Mughal ruler of India was built by his widow, Hajji Begum 14 years after his death.

Later visit Qutab Minar 12th century minaret built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty - this building complex dates back to the onset of Muslim rule in India and is fine example of Afghan architecture which is graceful and well sculptured and stands 75 mt. Also visit the Baha’i Temple (Lotus Temple) Lotus being a symbol of peace and prosperity all around the world, the shape of the temple personifies the purpose for which the foundation of this marvelous man-made architectural was laid. Lotus temple is made of pristine marble blocks, cement, dolomite and sand and the entire ascetic value is coddled by the group of nine pools filled with crystal clear water. In accord with the mores of Baha'i religion, the temple is open to everyone from anywhere in the world who is looking for inner peace & tranquility.
Return to hotel for overnight stay.

03 DAY DELHI / GUWAHATI (BY FLIGHT) GUWAHATI / KAZIRANGA

Breakfast at hotel and check-out. In-time transfer to airport to board flight for Guwahati.

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport you will be met and driven to the Kaziranga National Park (220 Kms / 05 hrs). Upon arrival check-in to Lodge / hotel.
Overnight stay at the Lodge / Hotel.

04 DAY IN KAZIRANGA

Early morning game safari into the Kaziranga National Park. Safaris in Kaziranga are organized in Jeeps and Elephant safaris are also available. Elephant safaris are regarded as the best way to view the wildlife in Kaziranga, since the vantage point of being on the back of an Elephant, allow the best chances of viewing wildlife hidden in the tall elephant grass. Local guides and naturalists are at hand to enhance the experience. Overnight stay at the Lodge / Hotel.

05 DAY KAZIRANGA / DIRANG (231 KMS)

Early breakfast and check-out from lodge. Drive to Dirang en-route Bhalukpong, Tipi and Bomdila.

Tipi is famous for its Orchid museum where one can see about 450 species of orchids. Some of these are rare and endangered.

Continue driving to Bomdila, visit the market and craft centre also visit the Gentse Gaden Rabgyel Ling Monastery, Upper Gompa, Bomdila was started by the 12th reincarnate of Tsona Gontse Rimpoche in 1965 - 66. The Gompa is a replica of Tsona Gontse Monastery at Tsona in South Tibet, established during 15th century. The 12th reincarnate was born in the Morshing, Kalaktang Circle of West Kameng. He constructed this modest Gompa before his demise in the year 1966. The present Rimpoche, the 13th Tsona Gontse Rimpoche commenced the construction of the main prayer hall, which was consecrated by His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama on 13th October 1997.

Later drive to Dirang, arrive and check-in at hotel.

Place is famous for hot water springs where people take bath to cure skin ailments. Places worth visiting here are the Apple and Kiwi orchards, National Yak Research and Breeding Center at Nigmadung, Sheep Breeding Farm and the Sangti Valley where Siberian black necked storks visit during winter.

06 DAY DIRANG / TAWANG (129 KMS)

Breakfast and check-out. Drive to Tawang, en-route Sela Pass It is 45 kms from Dirang on the way to Tawang. Sela Pass is the world’s second highest motorable pass at an altitude of 14000 ft. The serene crystal blue water natural lake and the surrounding landscape is truly pleasing to the eyes and senses.

Drive through Nurannang, famous for cold water snow and rainbow trout fish hatchery where one can go fishing in the chilly waters and Jaswant Garh located at a distance of 4 kms from Nuranang, Jaswant Garh is a memorial erected in the memory of Veer Jaswant Singh of the 4th Garhwal Rifles and a recipient of Mahavir Chakra (Posthumous) who alone stopped the Chinese Army for 72 hours during the 1962 aggression.

Arrive in Tawang, check-in at hotel.

Tawang is both historically and naturally endowed. It is located at an altitude of 3500 mt above sea level. The natural beauty and solitude of Gudpi and Chong-Chugmi ranges, Tawang chu River and Tawang valley are very mesmerizing.

07 DAY IN TAWANG

After breakfast. Visit Tawang Monastery which is an important seat of Mahayana Buddhism is located here. This world famous monastery of the Gelukpa was founded during the 17th century by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso who is considered as a contemporary of the 5th Dalai Lama. It is Asia’s second largest monastery and India’s largest which controls 17 Gompas in the region. The highlights of this monastery are the imposing three-storied assembly hall and the 28 ft high golden statue of Lord Buddha. There is also a big library which has an impressive collection of ancient books and manuscripts. The famous Buddhist gold inscribed scriptures Kangyur and Tangyur are preserved here.

08 DAY TAWANG

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Urgyelling Monastery which is considered sacred as it is the birth place of Thangyang Gyatso, the sixth Dalai Lama. Bramadung Chung, Sengsarbu Ani Gompa, Gyanggong Ani Gompa are also well known nunneries and monasteries with the Ani Gompa being one of the oldest in the country.

There are also beautiful natural Lakes in Tawang like the Sangetsar Lake which is known for its scenic surroundings as well as rare avi-fauna like snow pigeon and musk deer and the PTso Lake for its picturesque landscape.

Visit the War Memorial, Craft Centre and the local markets.

09 DAY TAWANG / DIRANG

Breakfast and check-out. Drive to Dirang, arrive and check-in at hotel Overnight stay at the Hotel.

10 DAY DIRANG / TEZPUR / DELHI

Breakfast and check-out. Drive to Tezpur, proceed to airport to board flight for Delhi.

Arrive in Delhi, you will be met and transferred to local restaurant for farewell dinner. Afterwards transfer international flight terminal to board flight for return journey.
